EFFECT OF MICROSTRUCTURE AND COMPOSITION ON THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF BeO

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4071994
From American Ceramic Society 15th Pacific Coast Regional Meeting, Seattle, Oct. 1962. The following properties were measured for extruded and isostatically pressed AOX grade BeO and MgO-containing UOX grade BeO: thermal expansion, elastic constants, rupture, strength, and compressive creep. The differences in the properties are discussed and interpreted in terms of grain size and preferred grain orientation. (D.L.C.)
