The history of the development of the formal educational activities of AEC is summarized briefly. The establishment of the Division of Nuclear Education and Training is discussed. The role of AEC laboratories in the educational program is discussed. Major problems in the program are considered, and several solutions for these problems are suggested. (D.L.C.)
