INFLUENCE OF THE ENZYMIC DEGRADATION OF BEEF HEART LYSOSOMAL STRUCTURES UPON THE RELEASE OF SOME HYDROLASES ACTIVITIES
Technical Report

OSTI ID:4070840
Acid hydrolase activities were determined in beef heart muscle lysosomes after enzymatic degradation of lysosomal structures with phospholipase A, trypsin, lysozyme, neuraminidase, hyaluronidase, and alkaline ribonuclease. The acid hydrolases determined after the enzymic degradation of heart lysosomes included BETA -galactosidase, BETA glucuronidase, acid ribonuclease, and cathepsins. Results indicate that phospholipids contained in heart lysosomal structures mask the acid hydrolase catalytic activities. (C.H.)
