The isospin and isospin--spin polarizations of interacting hadrons

In this paper we introduce two new dynamical variables: the isospin polarization and isospin--spin polarization of a hadron in the final state of a given reaction. As an application, the nucleon isospin polarization in pion-- nucleon scattering is studied. The numerical results for nucleon isopolarization, determined from $pi$$sup -$P elastic and charge exchange reactions, are discussed. (AIP)
