The background leading to the Plutonium Recycle Program and its purpose are reviewed briefly. A brief description is given of each of the program facilities: Plutonium Recycle Test Reactor, Plutonium Recycle Critical Facility, Plutonium Fabrication Pilot Plant, and Fuel Recycle Pilot Plant. Highlights of some of the accomplishments of the program are given, and contributions to reactor and fuel technology are pointed out. (D.L.C.)
