Contract AT-11-1-GLN-8. 49pReliable sonium s#ecialties components were developed for The Hsllam Nuclear Power Faeility. These components are as follows: (1) A sodium cold trsp (thermal preeipitator for oxygen removal) capable of lowering the oxygen concentration of a sodium system to approximately 5 ppm. This component is capable of operating efficiently even after reaching its design capacity of 200 lb of Na/sub 2/O; (2)A plugging meter (instrument to measure oxygen sataration temperature) capable of detecting oxygen concentration to 5 ppm while under fully automatic operation; and (3) A freeze trap (sodimn system gas vert) which will vent a large sodium system and automatically seal off tbe system with entering sodium at 1000 deg F. This component will also allow venting the system and resealing while operating at 1000 deg F. Themal analysis, design basis, and experimental data for all these are discussed. (auth)
