A p-wave pion-pion resonance formula was derived by both the Chew- Mandelstam theory and the chain approximation. Adopting a scattering length a = 1/5 - (h/ mu c)/sup 3/, the resonance of 600 Mev and total width of 130 Mev, which is consistent with the results of Takeda et al., and Fulco and Frazer was predicted. The mean-square radius of isovector part of magnetic momert of a nucleon was calculated by using the chain approximation. (auth)
