MEASUREMENTS OF MULTIPLE SCATTERING ON 10 BEV PROTON TRACKS (in Russian)

Various methods for determining the energy of charged particles by measuring multiple scattering in nuclear emulsions at variable ratios of Coulomb and pseudo-scatterings are analyzed. Data are given on the pseudo-scattering determined by various independent methods. The magnitude of pseudo-scattering resulting from emulsion microdistortions increases with the length of the cell according to the 0.08t/sup 0./s law. The contribution of pseudo-scattering to the approximately 10 Bev proton scattering on t = 4 mm cells is negligible. (tr- auth)
