THE ANION-EXCHANGE SEPARATION OF TECHNETIUM, RHENIUM AND MANGANESE

Journal Article · · Talanta (England)
An anion-exchange method for the separation of Tc, Re, and Mn is outlined. After sorption on the resin column, Mn is first eluted with HCl, Re with ammonium thiocyanate in HCl, and Tc with HNO/sub 3/. In the eluates Re is determined colorimetrically and Tc radiochemically. As little as 10 mu g of Tc in the form of potassium pertechnetate can be separated from 15 mg of Mn as potassium permanganate and 0.8 mg of De in the form of potassium perrhenate. (auth)
