Handling radioactive waste is a major concern throughout the nuclear industry. Therefore, the operational controls required to maintain safe handling of hazardous materials must be presented in a clear and concise manner to reduce the probability of human error. The posting development process at Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site (RFETS) has been successful in designing controls that reduce confusion and errors while increasing compliance and overall safety.
