ANISOTROPY OF THE GAMMA RADIATION IN THE MOSSBAUER EFFECT (in Rumanian)

Journal Article · · Acad. rep. populare Romine, Inst. fiz. atomica si Inst. fiz., Studii cercetari Fiz.
OSTI ID:4048104
The angular distribution of photons transmitted by an absorbent in which the Mossbauer effect takes place is calculated when the source is in a magnetic field. It was shown that the intensity transmitted depends on the angle made by the direction of the magnetic field with the direction of the emission of the gamma rays. The case of the transition Co/sup 5//sup 7/ yields Fe/sup 5//sup 7/ is examined. (tr-auth)
