Determination of Radiation Field in the Irradiation Channels of the Rossenforf Research Reactor; BESTIMMUNG DER STRAHLENFELDER IN DEN BESTRAHLUNGS-KANALEN DES ROSSENDORFER FORSCHUNGSREAKTORS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4043193
The distribution of neutrons and gamma rays in the irradiation channels of the Rossendorf Research Reactor was measured. Thermal, epithermal, and fast fluxes were determined. The Cd ratio for several channels was also determined. The measurements of absolute values of the thermal and epithermal neutron flux were performed with Au foils. The fast flux was measured with S tablets. The relative vulues of thermal and fast flux were measured with wires of Cu and A1, respectively. The gamma dose power was determined by means of cerium sulfate dosimeters of different concentration. The influence of neutrons on the dosimeter was estimated. For each irradiation channel, the local distribution of radiation components is plotted. The maxima absolute values are tabulated. (auth)
