ALBEDO PROBLEM FOR A SLAB

A new application of the method developed by K. M. Case in the one- velocity neutron transport theory is presented. The albedo problem, with prescribed incident neutron beams on both surfaces of the slab, was solved by reducing the problem of solving the Boltzmann equation to the problem of solving a Frednolm type integral equation for the expansion coefficients.
