Work is under way to establish the level of induced radioactivity in typical radiation-sterilized foods. Fourteen isotopes of eleven elements were irradiated: Fe, Nb, Cd, In, Sn, Te, Ba, Lu, Os, Hg, and Pb. Typical gamma spectra observed are shown. (M.C.G.)
