Second-order long period wave forces on a two-dimensional fixed body in bichromatic waves are investigated. At first, derivation of a calculation formula to compute second-order wave forces on a fixed body in a wave tank of shallow water depth are shown. The formula is derived from Green`s second identity and the second-order wave forces can be calculated using only first-order potential, without solving the second-order diffraction problem. Then computed results are compared with a solution by integral equation method and experimental data, and it is shown that the second-order wave forces can be calculated easily and with relatively good accuracy.
