Circuit diagrams ard modulation curves are used to describe an a-c polarograph. There are means for modulating the amplitude or the frequency of the a-c component of the current flowing in the polarograph cell and the modulating waveform may be sinusoidal or square-wave. The po larograph also contains detector means for measuring currents resulting from the demodulation of the a-c component by electrode reactions as a result of the non-linear variation of their rates with potential. The detector means is phase-sen-sitive or time- sensitive. (N.W.R.)
