JANGLE TRUE CRATER MEASUREMENTS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4035254
True crater depths of the Jangle Surface crater and the Jangle Underground crater were determined by excavation. They were, respectively, between 17 and 19 feet and between 65 and 66 feet. One radius of the true crater of the Jangle Surface shot was excavated, and found to be approximately 60 feet, 14% more than the apparent crater at that point. There was no measurable fallback in the bottom of the Jangle Surface crater, indicnting that true and apparent crater depths were the same. (auth)
