With 1995 being the first year of the reformulated gasoline (RFG) program in the US and with California`s reformulated gasoline program beginning in 1996, this paper looks at how three refineries--one on the East Coast, one on the West Coast, and one on the Gulf Coast--have fared with the required changes so far. The paper also examines changes that may be required for RFG in 1998 and 2000.
