A survey of present conditions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki is presented, and the pathologic sequelae arising in atomic bomb survivors are reviewed, with particular reference to the findings of the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC) in Hiroshima. The function, facilities, and staff of the ABCC are also discussed. Present evidence of bomb damage to the city is described, as well as the extent of reconstruction (which is illustrated). (BBB)
