>Classical coherence conditions were used in studies of bremsstrahlung from ultrarelativistic electrons in dense media. General expressions developed for bremsstrahlung attenuation in a medium were used for developing the Landau- Pomeranchuk effect (multiple scattering) and Ter-Mikaelyan effect (polanization of the medium). Bremsstrahiung angular distribution in the medium was analyzed. It is shown that with sufficientiy high electron energies the bremsstrahlung is attenuated by quantum absorption, in addition to polarization and multiple scattering. The spectral distribution in a frequency region where absorption is the main effect was found. (tr-auth)
