UNITARY SYMMETRY MODEL OF WEAK INTERACTIONS

A model of weak irteractions based on unitary symmetry of strong interactions and on the V-A theory of weak interactions is presented. It is assumed that the weak interaction currents of strongly interacting particles have positive RC conjugation parity. Nonleptonic decay of hyperons is analyzed and eight independent SU(3) coupling schemes are constructed. It is predicted that SIGMA /sup -/ decay is almost pure S-wave decay. (L.B.S.)
