Geotechnical approach in offshore dynamic pile instrumentation

This paper deals with basis of geotechnical interpretation of dynamic pile instrumentation, mainly directed to offshore fixed jacket foundation`s installation. A short review of instrumentation physical principles of commonly used models are discussed through real case presentation. Finally a model to estimate geotechnically meaningful point bearing and skin friction distribution from dynamic pile instrumentation analysis is depicted. Conclusions are drawn concerning geotechnical interpretation of raw data measurements and computer printout based in presented model.
