This conference proceedings represents volume one of a four volume set dealing with arctic and offshore engineering in the oil and gas industry. Papers in this volume deal with methods for calculating wave forces and simulating response functions of offshore platforms; environmental protection; mechanical vibrations in offshore platforms and moorings; platform design and construction techniques; ocean thermal and wave energy; gas hydrate recovery and origins; and geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics.
