OCTUPOLE VIBRATIONS OF DEFORMED EVEN-MASS NUCLEI

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
Octupole vibrntions of deformed even-mass nuclei are considered in terms of the collective model. The second quantization method is applied. It is shown that g-vibrations are accurately separnted from gamma vibrations for any frequency. The reduced probability for M2 transition from the g-band is calculated. (auth)
