In order to avoid damages in the teeth of racks in jacking units, transmitted forces to racks must be investigated in detail. This paper presents a structural analysis method to obtain them using the frame structure model which consists of leg and yoke structures including jacking unit. Some improved leg structures are introduced to decrease transmitted forces to rack teeth.
