Plant-Wide Integrated Environment Distributed On Workstations (Plant-Window) System functional requirements. Final report
This document defines the Electric Power Research Institute`s Plant-Wide Integrated Environment Distributed On Workstations (Plant-Window) System for nuclear power plants and presents functional requirements to establish its characteristics and capabilities. The Plant-Window System supports the activities of operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel by providing a common, consistent interface to data sources and instrumentation and control systems. This is achieved through an integrated computing environment on workstations that are distributed throughout the plant. The primary objective of this document is to provide guidance to utilities in the design and development of such a flexible, expandable computing architecture to integrate access and functionality for upgraded plant systems.
