INELASTIC COLLISIONS OF 6-Bev PROTONS

Journal Article · · Proc. Natl. Inst. Sci. India, Pt. A
OSTI ID:4024079
By studying the angular distribution of the shower particles, the energy of the primary particles is estimated with emulsion plate techniques on the assumption of a nucleon-nucleon collision. It is concluded that the meson production on an average occurs as if the incident proton suffered a collision with a particle within the nucleus, of mass number greater than 1.08 proton mass units.
