JOINING OF REFRACTORY SHEET METALS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4023378
Considerations are given for joining sheet materials produced from alloys based on molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, and tungsten for use in applications involving temperatures in excess of 2000 deg F, a variety of environs, and stresses lasting for various lengihs of time. The processes discussed include riveting, gss welding, electron beam welding, resistance welding, ultrasonic welding, and brazing. Recommendations derived from the considerations are outlined.
