An increase of radioactivity may be measured in the main only directly over the tumor. Tumors on the posterior pole of the eye may therefore be measured with suitable counters only, in the best way following the operative incision of the conjunctiva. In the indication of the radiophosphorus test the high radiation dose to the patient is to be considered. The procedure offers a high significance and is a valuable completion of the remaining method of diagnosing tumors of the eye. (auth)
