SIMPLIFIED PROCEDURES FOR RADIOASSAY AND AUTORADIOGRAPHY OF PLANT MATERIALS

Journal Article · · Argon. J.
OSTI ID:4015740
Compared with the conventional end window Geiger tube, the jacketed counter for the radioassay of liquids had higher precision and counting efficiency, eliminated the need for pipetting and evaporating samples prior to radioassay, and was suitable for counting digested plant samples. The autoradiographic technique was considerably simplified through the use of individually packed film, thus eliminating the need for light-proof equipment. Autoradiograms of corn, soybeans, tobacco, and tomato plants are presented. (auth)
