NANOSECOND PULSE GENERATOR AND CIRCUIT USING AVALANCHE TRANSISTORS (in French)

Journal Article · · Nucl. Instr. Methods

ABS>A pulse generator, which operates at high continuous repetition rates and produces rectangular or exponential pulses is described. The circuit is all solid-state and uses avalanche transistors. At 5 Mc the pulse width is adjustable from 2 to 10 nanoseconds with a 0.5-nanosecond rise time and 8-volt amplitude on 50 ohms. At 25 Mc exponential pulses are produced with 1-nanosecond rise and 15nanosecond fall times. (auth)
