EVALUATION OF URANIUM-HYDRIDE COMPACT SLUGS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4014860
An investigation was made of uranium compact slugs, manufactured from uranium hydride, to study the properties produced by powder metallurgical techniques. The data indicate that the fineness of grain size and the degree of preferred orientation of the material are superior to standard beta-transformed production metal while the density and cannability of the material compares favorably with standard beta-transformed production metal.
