Injection and separation problems connected with the preliminary design of a fog-coated and light-water moderated reactor are discussed. A loop constructed for the preliminary tests with air-water mixtures is described. The loop consists of water and gas inlet lines, mixer, flow tube, snd separator. A preliminary study indicated that a mechanical centrifugal separator gave the best separation. Measurements using isokinetic, pitot, and capacitor probes are discussed. (M.C.G.)
