ON THE POLARIZATION AND QUADRUPOLARIZATION OF DEUTERONS IN ELASTIC SCATTERING ON NUCLEI (in Ukrainian)

The elastic scattering of deuterons on nuclei is considered in diffractional approximation. The amplitude of the elastic scattering of the deuteron is expressed by the scattering of a free neutron and proton on the nucleus. Allowance is made for the simultaneous scattering of a neutron and a proton and the applicability of impulse approximation is investigated. The vector and tensor polarizatios of the deuteron are determined in the case of elastic scattering due to spin-orbital interaction of nucleons with the nucleus, as well as to the presence of D-waves in the ground state of the deuteron.
