The elastic $alpha$-particle scattering from $sup 44$Ca for incident energies between 18.0 and 49.5 MeV is studied in the frame of a folding model using the free $alpha$-nucleon interaction. The energy dependence of the imaginary form factor and that of the real well depth are deduced. (AIP)
