Upper limit on $delta$T = 2, E2 transition in $sup 44$Ti

An upper limit of 0.16% (one standard deviation) is placed on the $gamma$-ray branching ratio for the $delta$T=2 transition from the T=2 0$sup +$ level at 9338 +- 2 keV in $sup 44$Ti to the first excited 2$sup +$ level at 1083 keV. A new determination of GAMMA/sub alpha/GAMMA/sub gamma//GAMMA for the T=2 level gives 0.24 eV. The upper limit for the $delta$T=2 transition is shown to be consistent with shell-model estimates of isospin mixing. (AIP)
