CONVERSION TRANSITIONS IN Th$sup 229$$alpha$ DECAY AND Ra$sup 225$ ENERGY LEVELS (in Russian)

The spectrum of Ra/sup 2//sup 2//sup 5/ conversion electrons was studied by beta spectrometry. Coincidences with gamma rays ( gamma -eK) and eK- gamma were used in addition to alpha -eK. The gamma quanta were recorded by a scintillation spectrometer with a NaI(Te) crystal, amplifier, and single channel analyzer. Two specimens of U/sup 2//sup 3//sup 3/ containing various amounts of Th/sup 2//sup 2//sup 8/ and Th/sup 2//sup 2//sup 9/ were used. The internal conversion spectrum for Th/sup 2//sup 2//sup 9/ was plotted. Conversion lines for Ra/sup 2//sup 2//sup 5/ were tabulated and analyzed. In some cases total intensity of (e/sub K/- gamma ) transitions is given. The transition multiplicity was determined by the relations L/sub I/: L/sub I//sub I/ L/sub I// sub I//sub I/; K: L, and x: gamma intensities. A n ew scheme is developed for Ra/sup 2//sup 2//sup 5/ lower levels. (R.V.J.)
