Matrix Pade approximants and the Bethe-Salpeter equation of the N-N interaction

The problem of which diagrams should be taken for the matrix Pade analysis and for the Bethe-Salpeter equation is discussed. The ''potential'' of the Bethe-Salpeter equation with bare intermediate nucleons is related to the ''potential'' of the Bethe-Salpeter equation with dressed intermediate nucleons. The origin of the differences in recent calculations of the nucleon-nucleon phase shifts based on matrix Pade approximants is discussed. (AIP)
