A formula was obtained for the differential inelastic scattering cross section for longitadinally polarized electrons on oriented nuclei. It is shown that in some cases the individual matrix elements can be expressed in terms of the experimenthlly measurable quantities. The matrix element corresponding to the M1 nuclear transition between the states 1/2+---1/2+ is directly related to the experimental quantities. (auth)
