The existence at parity-violating magnetic poles is investigated in relation to the vector boson (Yang-Mills) field and its hypothetical particle, the W-meson, which are used to explain weak interactions. Three solutions are possible. (1) If the photon--- mediating the electromagnetic field--- is the neutral member of the W-meson, spin-1 multiplet, thus violating parity, magnetic poles are not allowed and the charged bosons carry electric charge, magnetic moment, and no magnetic charge. (2) If the neutral W-boson is dual to the ordinary photon, magnetic poles are allowed and the charged bosons carry magnetic charge, electric moment, and no electric charge. (3) Both electric and magnetic monopoles exist; observed electric magnetic) fields are due to electric (magnetic) monopoles at rest and magnetic (electric) monopoles in motion. (M.J.T.)
