A fluid-tight safety valve has downstream from the valve seat and the closing disc a diaphragm sealing in a tight manner the fluid system in which radioactive or toxic fluid may be under pressure. If this pressure reaches a predetermined excessive value, this pressure controls the release of a spring actuated cylindrical tool that cuts out the diaphragm and thereby opens the valve by virtue of an axial movement of the closing disc, which is connected with the portion of the diaphragm that is cut out. The release of the cutting tool and the said axial opening movement is controlled by a bellows-operated lever system actuated by the working pressure in the-fluid system. (NPO)
