A photoelectric Raman apparatus is described. Noteworthy features include the type of monochromator used, the specially designed optical arrangement, and the versatility of the instrument. Samples in the liquid and solid states can be investigated at temperatures ranging from about +150 to --195 deg C. A number of spectra are given to demonstrate the performance of the instrument.
