A new method is suggested for determining small quantities of Sr/sup 90/ and Sr/sup 89/ in reservoirs by using a sodium salt of rhodizonic acid. The maximum error is plus or minus 10%. The method is capable of determining Sr/sup 90/ up to 5 x 10/sup -11/ c/l; the presence of Cs/sup 137/, Ru/sup 106/, Ce/sup 144/, and Zr< s9>s/sup 5/ does not interfere. (R.V.J.)
