PHOTOCOLORIMETRIC DETERMINATION OF THORIUM HYDROXIDE SOLUBILITY PRODUCT (in Russian)

The pH of the initial intense solubility of thorium hydroxide was found to be 3.6, and respectively, the initial precipitation pH was 3.60 to 4.10. The product of Th(OH)/sub 4/ activity at 22 deg is 2 x 10/sup -45/. The effects of potassium nitrate on the pH of the initial Th(OH)/sub 4/ dissolution and on the solubility product at constant pH were analyzed. (R.V.J.)
