REACTIONS OF GRAPHITE WITH MICROWAVE-ACTIVATED NITROGEN PRELIMINARY REPORT

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4002893
The reaction of graphite with microwave-activated nitrogen gas was studied. The principal product of the reaction was paracyanogen which was found to plate out on the cooler quartz walls of the reaction vessel. Weight loss rates from the graphite samples were of the magnitude of 10/sup -4/ to 10/sup -5/ grams/gram-hour. (auth)
