  1. Memphis Light, Gas and Water Div., TN (United States)
By installing a rectifier efficiency filter, annual operating costs can be reduced by generating a more effective cathodic protection system. The cathodic protection analyzer (CPA) has been used to conduct a cathodic protection potential survey for two Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division`s 18-in. transmission lines. The two lines, under impressed current cathodic protection, were installed in 1928 and 1940. Both operate at 260 psig and consist of 5.163 mi of 18-in. diameter coated welded steel.
