The purpose of the conference was to provide a multidisciplinary forum for exchange of state-of-the-art information on contaminated soils and groundwater. Attention is focused in the following areas: analysis; fate; environmental and public health effects; and remediation. The majority of the papers focus on petroleum related problems. Individual papers have been processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases.
