Comment on {open_quote}{open_quote}Multinucleon mechanisms in ({gamma},{ital N}) and ({gamma},{ital NN}) reactions{close_quote}{close_quote}

Recently, calculations of ({gamma},{ital NN}) cross sections in the {Delta}(1232) region have been reported by J. Ryckebusch {ital et} {ital al}.[Phys. Rev. C {bold 49}, 2704 (1994)]. However, these calculations use an unjustified ansatz for the {Delta} propagation, which leads to an underestimation of the ({gamma},{ital NN}) cross section in the resonance region for quasifree kinematics. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
