In order to realize cw operation with Cu-halide lasing system, the increase of pulse width and repetition frequency has being tried. For pulse broadening, the relaxation of lower laser level in metastable state is definitely required. For this aim, Cu-Zn-Ne mixture is employed. The resonance emission of Zn ({lambda}=213.86 nm) is used for pumping the Cu lower laser level up to much higher level than upper laser level. After this, the upper laser level was enhanced via cascading decays from these higher levels. By this means, the pulse width reached at 3 {mu}s at this moment. On the way of investigation on improvement of lasing output, lasing efficiency, pulse width and repetition frequency with CuBr-CsBr-Ne mixture, the recycle of copper vapor was recognized. {copyright} {ital 1996 American Institute of Physics.}
