A relativistic WKB method for bound states of an electron in screened Coulomb potentials
- Department of Physics, Okayama University, Okayama 700 (Japan)
An overview of a relativistic WKB method for bound states [K. Kosaka and K. Yonei, J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. {bold 60} (1991) 850, 4081] is given. As an application, one-electron states of highly ionized Au atoms are calculated using the effective potential determined by the relativistic and the nonrelativistic TFDW model proposed by Tomishima [Progr. Theor. Phys. {bold 42} (1969) 437] and by Yonei and Tomishima [J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. {bold 20} (1965) 1051], respectively. {copyright} {ital 1996 American Institute of Physics.}
